pale light of wounded plight

don’t think too much
{sorrow can slaughter}
brain implosion, s p l a t t e r e d mess
and yes,
it’ll only hurt a lifetime
cry, if it makes you feel better
this speed bump is drivable

I wished upon a falling star
then forgot he’s falling far
but falling stars can climb again
I haven’t lost my falling friend

in the labyrinth of life
he picked the wrong path
but in the thirteenth hour
found it had no power over him

bare broken bloody knees
grace god’s doorstep gleefully
broken dreams and mended seams
make reams of hopeless teams

light the way
my heart a sieve
you are my drug
drain me dry of death
and sustain this matrimony

la luna watches angels weep
through crevices their hearts do seep
would you, could you take my pain?
bridge this dam and steal the rain?

I will stay
by your side
don’t ask me why
I’ll never tell.
