Yosemite Calling... a Poem, my first in 2 months...

Do you hear me?
Calling, along a quiet river
Polished rocks of ancient yesteryears…
Tradition speaks fondly here
Where giants sleep
And reckless abandon only stifles the ordinary.
Peer beyond a technological wonder~
Into a crevice you might find that
Water spiders tread lightly here

A dome split in half by a grandfather glacier,
Nestled amongst mountain peaks of old,
Beckons foreign travelers and retired folk as well.
I hear her energy race like a bear cub,
Feel his calm remembrance of childhood pleasures…
And I sit serenely on this valley floor.
Thousands of digital images no comparison for
Nature’s beauty in raw real reality

Do you hear me, large granite man,
Tunnel of rock and brother’s three?
Trees that have witnessed the passing of time
And generations of humans united only by this delicate thread of ecosystem balance?

Do you hear me… I hear You.
